A Lesson From the Coop

A Children's Book by Local Author & Illustrator Cindy Ortego.

In a cozy coop just after dawn, trouble is stirring, and it all starts with a tiny hen named Little Miss Two Pence. When she takes a daring leap over the fence, feathers fly, and panic spreads among the flock. But wise ole Momma Lou isn’t flustered. She knows every chick must follow their own path, even if it leads to new ground (and maybe a few new bugs!).

'A Lesson From the Coop' is a heartwarming, humorous tale about courage, curiosity, and the comfort of home. With charming rhymes and lovable characters, this delightful story reminds young readers that sometimes, stepping out is the best way to find your way back. Perfect for kids ages 4-8 and their grown-up storytime companions!
